Three Looks to Take You Through Holiday Gala Season

Thursday, November 8, 2018
Attending an elaborate charity gala or even a more intimate formal affair?  Well, I've created three looks to get you inspired and started on your search for the perfect outfit.

All you need to know is the dress code (I'm thinking it's probably not themed like the Met Gala) and be aware of the weather, so you can perhaps add a chic coat or stole.  I will link to some of those at the bottom of the post.

I, at present time, have not received any invitations to any galas or regular old Christmas parties for that matter!  I'm still hopeful though.  Bahaha!  Who am I kidding?  My socialite days were over before they even really began.  And can I also say, if you are headed to a gala, I am jealous.  So many of us often only get to dress formally for our own wedding.  It's so nice to have an occasion to really glam it up.

So maybe I'll live out my #RHOD dreams vicariously through you, as I'm sure you will dazzle, delight and look just plain dreamy in any of these looks!  All collages are clickable for shopping.

What to wear to a Black Tie Gala:

Think long dresses, ball gowns, bold color, lace, beads, sequins and drama!

Black Tie Optional:

Go formal or go cocktail.  Think midi dresses if you are unsure which way to swing.

Semi-formal:

Options!  Think shorter dresses, cocktail attire, pants suits or skirted suits in dressy fabrics, and bold prints.  Have a bit more fun.

As promised, here are lots of formal gala appropriate accessories for you to shop.  And remember, you do not have to match your bag to your shoes.  That is an antiquated fashion rule and although it still works to do so, it is not a faux pas if you don't!

Shoes

Clutches

Wraps/Stoles
