There is no rhyme or reason to the picks below.  Just some eye-candy.  Lovely, stylish things to dream about.  That is all.

Oops, I Did It Again

Thursday, December 12, 2013
I bought some shoes.  They played with my heart.  Got lost in the style.  OMG I love them so!

Ok, get over the cheese and look at my new shoes.  Loves!!  I scored mine at LastCall on sale but they are almost sold out (pic link jumps to

Pour La Victoire Vanya Booties
These are actually very comfy, which I was worried about.  This is my second pair of  Pour La Victoire shoes and I have to give the brand high marks for comfort, and most importantly, style.

So I know Christmas is not my birthday and neither is December 12 but I just had to.

Here are some other peep toe booties I found while researching my purchase:

2013 Holiday Gift Guide For Couples

Here is a little gift guide to help you shop for a few types of couples you may encounter.  A little Christmas levity is good for the soul!

2013 Holiday Gift Guide For Him

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

My husband is notoriously difficult to shop for, especially for Christmas.  He's a gadget freak with super picky, high-end, influencer tastes.  An iPad simply will not do.  I created this "Gift Guide for Him" with my man in mind.  I think he would be satisfied (maybe even happy) with any of these finds.

Here's hoping your beau (or dad or bro) is a bit easier to shop for!

Stripes Ablaze

Sunday, November 17, 2013
It is a balmy 87 degrees here but dagnabit, I am still in Fall mode.  It was 40 degrees in the middle of last week.  Alas, this is Texas.  And in Texas, your wardrobe needs to meet the needs of ever changing weather.  Today, while running errands with my little family, I decided to still don a newly acquired blazer, previously unworn.  The pink details on the blazer are everything!  I felt cute yet casual (but I was a bit warm...).

2013 Holiday Gift Guide For Her

Saturday, November 16, 2013
The Holidays are my favorite time of year and in fact, Christmas is my favorite Holiday of all time.  Not because of the gifts but really the spirit of giving, peace, sharing, love and light and all that celebrating (and food - let's be honest)!

Back to the gifts, however!  I love a gift guide so I'm going to feature a few in the coming weeks.  First up: For Her.  Whether for your mom, boss, sister or cousin, these lovely gifts will leave the recipient smiling and warm inside!

Leave Your Mark

Friday, November 8, 2013
Add these two things:  I'm Southern and I'm a bit of a narcissist.  And you will get:  My love for all things monogram.  I recently purchased the Everyday Leather Zip Pouch from Mark and Graham and I la-la-lurve it!

Yeah Brah

Friday, October 18, 2013
No, not like Bruh-Man from Martin (notice the spelling).  But yeah for the new Fall Collection from Brahmin.  The bags are so classic and still on trend.  I mean, can you say snake-skin is everywhere?  Loves!!  Here is a small lookbook I thought I would share with you.  Fabulous, no?

Cloche Call

Friday, October 4, 2013
TGIF!  Just wanted to do a little post today.  It is Fall so how do you feel about hats?  Ladies should wear more cloches, especially for the fall.  This style of millinery genius is so classic.  I've always been a fan.

Hanging Out

Thursday, October 3, 2013
I "attended" the #ShopTheHangout with DVF tonight and it was a fun experience on the Internets.  I admire Diane Von Furstenberg quite a lot.  She's just so glamorous but somehow her independent spirit keeps her down to earth, even as the CFDA president.  And I got a twitter mention which makes me happy, happy, happy.

Anywho, there was a shop the look feature through google + (follow me here) with about three complete looks.  Of course I needed more so I went window shopping and found some really cute pieces (below) I would love to have.  Also, I don't currently own one of her wrap dresses but it is a goal to purchase and fit into one by the end of the year.  Yes, you can have fashion goals.

Lime & Grey

Love this fresh and edgy color combo for Fall.

I love Owls.  And I'm cheesy.  Here are some cute and not too terribly kitschy owl finds.

Today I'm wearing these lovely Mirror Metallic Tassel Flats from Zara.  Sometimes flats can be special.   Just sayin'.

It Matters

Monday, August 19, 2013
The handwritten letter is becoming obsolete and it makes me sad. Now, I love email. I would email my dinner straight into my stomach if I could. But just because it is easy and convenient doesn’t mean it’s always the right format. I realize this and challenge myself to do better in the way of letter writing.

I am especially partial to handwritten thank you notes. I just feel like it shows a tremendous amount of grace and appreciation, especially in today’s fast paced, time suck world, to sit down, be grateful and write a note. I mean, if I send you a gift in the mail and you don’t send a note, how do I know you received the gift? Isn’t that important for the giver to know?

This is just one more area of our modern lives that require an extra ounce of time and respect. I always say, time is more important than money. If you take the time to write me a personal note of appreciation, it makes the spending of the money and time I spent shopping for said gift, that much more worth-while.

On that note, if you need extra motivation for writing thank-you notes, read on. “They improve the frequency and quality of the gifts you receive. People like being appreciated, and if they feel you actually notice the nice things they do for you, they’re more likely to give an encore performance. Do not, however, use this as a strategy to avoid writing thank-yous to those who regularly give gifts you do not like. Every gift deserves a thank-you.” - Harpold, Leslie. (2013, October 1). "How to Write a Thank-You Note." Retrieved August 19 2013, from

To clarify, you really don’t need to send a thank-you if you opened a gift in front of the giver and said thank you in person, but it’s still a nice gesture. An email or phone call will certainly be appreciated as well but a note is just so special. Just make sure you say thank you in some way for any gift you receive, no matter how big or small or how much you like it or dislike it. It matters.

Lately Loving... including Palmolive® soft touch™

Friday, May 17, 2013
Obvi, loving my little man.  He's getting so big and luckily, sleeping well in his crib upstairs.  I'll just sit and stare at the baby monitor, make sure he's breathing (yes, I still do that) and watch him sleep.  By the way, at his Well baby visit this past Monday (9 months), he weighed in at 26.8 pounds.  My little linebacker is solid, I tell ya.  Such a chunk of pure love!  And... I cannot blame his PJ ensemble on my husband.  This is the mom has not had time to do a lot of laundry PJs look.  Also, loving his crib (Bonavita Sheffield) and bedding (Pottery Barn).

Another Pottery Barn purchase, my little spice jars.  Can't wait to fill 'em up!

Fish tacos.  I love fish tacos.  That is all.

And check out the great products I received c/o Influenster.  Two full-size Palmolive® soft touch™.  I've got coupons to hand out too.  I might even share one of these bad boys.  I use the regular Anti-bacterial Palmolive so I was happy to receive this!

I am admittedly obsessed with Chocolate Shakeology.  It's delicious (especially with a half of a sliced frozen banana blended in it) and so full of wonderful benefits including over 70 natural ingredients and it's helping me lose weight.  I just can't sing it's praises enough.  Loving it.

Gettin' It

Friday, May 10, 2013
I am obsessed with working on my fitness.  I'm a Beach Body Coach now and am so thankful for the great results I've had while taking Shakeology.  I am 18 pounds away from my pre-baby weight.  This is good news since I was 25 pounds away from it like 3-4 weeks ago and had been the same weight since having the baby, practically...  I am gettin' it!  Need to be able to keep up with my little one who is pulling up on anything he can.  He'll be walking soon, aye!

Also, I have a lovely new dress in stock.

Another reason to get in shape: so I can fit into the clothes I sell.  I love this dress!

Happy Friday!

Baby Cakes

Monday, April 8, 2013
My sweet little man is eight months old.  How crazy is that?  Time really does fly the first year of a baby's life.  I think it's because of how fast they grow in the first year and all the milestones they reach so quickly.  For my Daxie, it will be just around the corner hitting that year mark.  I'm savoring every minute of him.  The amount of love I have for him is truly immeasurable.  He's my dream!

Here are some recent pics of my sweet baby boy for you to delight in, as I know you will!

I have been so busy and my blogging has suffered so much.  Please loyal readers, accept my apologies.  I love to blog but time really gets way from me these days.  I'm a mom and a wife with a full-time job and my commute now totals about 3.5 hours per day which is crazy.  I have also started to work on my newest business venture which has me so excited.  I launched my company, Frenchrum Emporium, and I am partnering with a dear friend and the owner of Bella Salon to offer clothing, jewelry and accessories to customers by way of trunk shows and parties.  We've got a few under our belt now and i hope the momentum keeps going.  I think it will because shopping parties are fun, especially when there is no pressure and it's not for direct sales.

So if you have a moment, please visit my website at and let me know what you think of our capsule offerings!

Blue Eyed Monster

Tuesday, January 29, 2013
One of my style blogger crushes, Glamourai posted an enviable look that I am obsessed with.  This is a couple of years old but how wonderfully on trend is that cobalt blue blouse?

Here are some shoppable blue tops that make the same impact.

I also happen to have the Nordic Treasure necklace from Jewelmint which works great to emulate the bold necklace in her look.  Something I do not normally do that she did here, is wear big bold earrings with a statement necklace.  Somehow, it works.  And those pants?  Can the hem be any more amaze?  One wouldn't think a burgundy bag would work with cobalt blue but it is a neutral and a great hue for making an outfit more fashionable.  Every girl must have a neutral bag in a not so boring color {grey works too}.  The sunnies, the rings and her cute hair... I just love the vibe.

Raising the Bar

Friday, January 18, 2013
I cannot wait to have a party at the new crib!  This past weekend we bought a great piece of furniture that is perfect for entertaining:  the Porter Bar from Ashley  Had to get the stools as well.

It was delivered a few days ago and we set it up in the game room.  Now all my husband needs to do is learn how to make an actual cocktail so he can get to work.  Here are some similar options (and one super fancy one).

Homestyles Home Styles Rio Vista Home Bar Espresso

Swing Open Portable Home Bar

St. Croix Bar

Howard Miller Sonoma Home Bar

BTW, planning a housewarming party sometime very soon, so stay-tuned.  The bar will be used.  Very much so.
